FAA PMA for Three (3) New Products
New Moving Map, 10.2″ Cabin LCD and Video Amplifier
Flight Display Systems has been granted Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for several new in-flight entertainment products.
“We continue to improve our product line and enhance the flight experience,” said David Gray, Flight Display Systems’ Founder. “Offering cabin entertainment products with Parts Manufacturing Approval from the FAA helps to make the installation even easier for our partner dealers and end customers.”
The FD200CPU-7 and FD200CPU-8 are updated models of Flight Display Systems’ Moving Map computer. Featuring solid-state disk hardware and an embedded operating system, this upgraded hardware platform will withstand the most rugged environments.
Flight Display Systems’ FD102CV and DAPS321 are also included on this PMA. The FD102CV is a 10.2″ Widescreen Cabin Display with Split Screen and Picture in Picture capability. The DAPS321 is an enhanced 2X7 Aircraft Video Distribution Amplifier for composite video signals. All four products are available today from DAC International, 512-331-5323.
Parts Manufacturer Approval was initially issued to Sirius Technologies, parent company of Flight Display Systems, in 2003 after establishing a fabrication inspection system as required by FAR 21.303(h) under the provisions of FAR 21.303(d). Full requirements for parts produced under a PMA are identified in FAR 45.15.
