10.2″ In-flight Entertainment Display is Small on Price, Big on Features Flight Display Systems, the leader in retrofit in-flight entertainment equipment, introduced today a new 10.2″ Widescreen display that features Picture-in-Picture and Split Screen functionality, a first for the in-flight entertainment industry. “The FD102ARM does things other displays can only dream of,” said David Gray, Flight Display Systems’ Founder. “We continue to introduce innovative in-flight entertainment products, and this new Split Screen capability is a great start for 2006.”
“Having a 10.2″ Widescreen display on arm with Split Screen and Picture-in-Picture allows us to offer our customers another great interior option from Flight Display Systems,” said J.D. Griggs of Rose Aircraft Services in Mena, Arkansas. “In-flight Entertainment is a growing market segment and we are glad to be a part of it.”

The high-quality LCD gives passengers a superior picture, maximum brightness and excellent contrast. In its unique Split Screen and Picture-in-Picture modes, two separate video sources can be viewed on a single display. With one VGA and two composite inputs, passengers can watch a DVD and see pertinent flight information from a moving map at the same time. Supporting resolutions up to 1024×768 ensures that crystal clear computer graphics, such as the Flight Display Moving Map, will be seen at up to twice the quality of DVD inputs. This new product brings Flight Display Systems’ line-up to three rugged articulating arm mounts - 7″ Widescreen, 10.2″ Widescreen and 10.4″ LCDs. Flight Display Systems’ 10.2″ Widescreen display is manufactured as an articulating arm mount for both left and right cabin seating arrangements (part number FD102ARM-L and FD102ARM-R). For customers who already have the 7″ Widescreen LCD on Arm installed in their aircraft, the 10.2″ Widescreen LCD on Arm is a simple pin-for-pin upgrade. The FD102ARM (spec sheet) is in stock and available today for a list price of $4,186. For ordering information, contact DAC International at 512-331-5323.
